The privatization of the economic public companies (EPC)

It concerns nearly 1200 companies and represents a method of opening of the Algerian economy to the market economy devoted legally by the promulgation of a new legislative framework.
Privatization indicates any transaction resulting in a transfer of property to persons or entities of private right other that public companies:

• of whole or part of the authorized capital of the companies held directly or indirectly by the State and/or the people morals of public law, by transfer of shares, social shares or subscription for a new issue of capital.
• catifs constituting an autonomous unit of exploitation of the companies belonging to the State.

From now on all the economic public companies are eligible with privatization

This principle is devoted by Article 15 of Law 01-04 of the August 20,2001
